Dr. Kinney is Board Certified in Family Medicine and provides the following medical services:
- Wellness and preventive health care for men, women, and children of all ages.
- Physical exams for work, school, camp, etc. (excluding Dept. of Transportation physicals).
- "New to Medicare" exams (MUST be done within 1 year after becoming eligible for Medicare).
- Preoperative evaluations for established patients.
- Sick care for men, women, and children.
- Diagnosis and ongoing management of many chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, abnormal cholesterol, asthma and emphysema, thyroid dysfunction, arthritis, mild-to-moderate depression and anxiety, abnormal pap smears, contraception, and menopausal symptoms, among many others.
- Minor skin procedures, such as suturing (stitching) cuts and removing benign or suspicious skin lesions.
- Coordination of care with specialists.
- Office hours by appointment. (Call (607) 657-8528 to make one.)
- Same-day appointments for urgent medical needs.
- 24-hour, 7-day telephone access. Except for occasional vacations, Dr. Kinney will personally take or return your call.
- Online appointment requests (for established patients).
- Online prescription refill requests (for established patients).
- E-mail communication with your doctor.
Dr. Kinney has full privileges at United Health Services Hospitals (Wilson Memorial and Binghamton General), but time and distance constraints prevent her from being able to manage your care in the hospital. If you require hospitalization, she will refer you to her hospitalist colleagues and consult with them as needed.
Infants and young children will be referred to the Tioga County Health Department for immunizations, as we are not able to stock all the necessary vaccines at this time.
Medication samples are not stocked in our office, since the provision of these is purely a marketing tactic by pharmaceutical companies and is rarely in your best interests. Dr. Kinney will make every effort to prescribe medications that are affordable for you.
